    Description

PLEASE READ THIS AD COMPLETELY TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE BEFORE BUYING MY PARTS
    I DON'T WANT ANY MISS-UNDERSTANDINGS
I have a slot machine video
monitor replacement capacitor kit for a
    CERONIX MODEL 1492
    THE KIT INCLUDES 18 PCS:
16 CAPS AND 1 TUBE OF SOLDER FLUX TO USE ON YOUR CIRCUIT BOARD AND REPLACEMENT PARTS PLUS 1 PAGE OF BASIC INSTRUCTIONS EMAILED TO YOU THROUGH EBAYS MESSAGE SYSTEMS ONLY THESE INSTRUCTIONS ONLY HAVE NUMBERED LOCATIONS OF WHERE YOU INSTALL THE REPLACEMENT
    CAPACITORS.
BELOW ARE SOME MORE BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
ALL THE CAPACITORS (CAPS FOR SHORT) HAVE 2 WIRES THAT YOU SOLDER ONTO THE CIRCUIT BOARD ON EACH CAP 1 WIRE IS LONGER THAN THE OTHER THE REASON FOR THIS IS SO YOU CAN IDENTIFY WHICH SIDE IS POSITIVE THE LONGER WIRE IS THE POSITIVE WIRE AND BECAUSE THE CIRCUIT BOARD HAS A POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SIDE ALL OF THESE CAPS HAVE TO BE INSTALLED CORRECTLY OR YOUR INSTALL WILL NOT WORK CORRECTLY SO IF YOU DECIDE TO INSTALL THESE CAPS YOURSELF YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE KNOWLEDGE ON HOW TO SOLDER ONTO CIRCUITS BOARDS.
    (
you may need to cut the wires on the caps shorter but only do that on the bottom of the circuit board after installing them)
THE TUBE OF SOLDER FLUX IS VERY EASY TO USE THERE IS A RED CAP ON THE BOTTOM THAT YOU REMOVE BEFORE USE AFTER REMOVING THE RED CAP ON THE BOTTOM YOU CAN SEE ANOTHER RED CAP INSERTED IN THE BOTTOM THAT INSERTED RED CAP YOU DO NOT REMOVE THAT INSERTED CAP IS USE TO PUSHED UP TO DEPENDENCE THE SOLDER OUT OF THE TOP AFTER YOU HAVE REMOVED THE BLACK CAP PUSH THE RED INSERTED CAP UP FROM THE BOTTOM TO DEPENDENCE THE SOLDER FLUX TO HELP YOU PUSH THE RED INSERT UP YOU CAN USE A PEN OR PENCIL OR A SHARPE ANYTHING THAT'S SMALL ENOUGH TO PUSH IT UP GENTLY AND SLOWLY BECAUSE YOU ONLY NEED SMALL AMOUNTS OF SOLDER FLUX BECAUSE SOLDER FLUX GOES A LONG WAY AND BECAUSE SOLDER FLUX MAKES THE SOLDER FLOW SMOOTHLY YOU ONLY WANT TO USE SMALL AMOUNTS ONLY ON THE PARTS YOU ARE SOLDERING IF YOU USE TO MUCH YOU MAY SOLDER OTHER PARTS ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD THAT YOU DON'T WANT TOO AND THAT CAN DAMAGE IT.
(There is more than enough solder flux to do the repair and there is no expire date on the flux you can save for another repair or discard the rest)
IT YOU HAVE NEVER USED A SOLDERING IRON HERE ARE SOME TIPS THAT MAY HELP.
CIRCUIT BOARDS CAN BE DAMAGED VERY EASILY IF YOU APPLY TO MUCH HEAT.
THE 1ST THING IS TO IDENTIFY WHAT PARTS YOU ARE REPLACING.
WHEN YOU START TO REMOVE THE OLD PART AND IF YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE DOING THE REPAIR TAKE YOUR HOT SOLDERING IRON IN ONE HAND AND WITH THE OTHER HAND USING SOME NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS OR JUST PLIERS GRASP THE PART OR THE WIRE IF POSSIBLE THAT YOU NEED TO REMOVE AND PLACE THE HOT IRON ON THE AREA WHERE THE PART IS SOLDERED AND YOU NEED TO HEAT UP THE OLD SOLDER TO REMOVE THE PARTS THIS CAN BE VERY HARD TO PERFORM WITH ONLY 2 HANDS BUT IT'S POSSIBLE AND HERE IS WHERE YOU NEED TO BE CAREFUL DO NOT KEEP THE SOLDERING IRON ON THE CIRCUIT FOR A LONG TIME TRY AND ONLY KEEP IT ON THERE FOR NO MORE THAN 10 SECONDS AT A TIME ALWAYS LET THE CIRCUIT BOARD COOL DOWN BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANOTHER REMOVAL OR RETRYING TO REMOVE THE OLD PART AGAIN OR WHEN INSTALLING THE NEW REPLACEMENT PART AND THE NEW REPLACEMENT PARTS CAN ALSO BE DAMAGED IF YOU USE TO MUCH HEAT SO JUST REMEMBER THAT TO MUCH HEAT CAN DAMAGE YOUR NEW PARTS AND YOUR CIRCUIT BOARD.
THERE IS A TOOL THAT'S CALL A SOLDER SUCKER OR AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT I CALL IT AND IT'S A VERY HELPFUL TOOL TO HAVE I PERSONALLY DO NOT USE 1 BUT MANY TIMES I WISH I HAD ONE BUT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO MAKE DUE WITH OUT ONE BUT I AM VERY EXPERIENCED WITH REPLACING PARTS ON CIRCUITS BOARDS IF YOU ARE NOT I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET THAT TOOL IT CAN BE A LIFE SAVER BECAUSE IF YOU CAN GET MOST OF THE OLD SOLDER OFF YOU CAN SEE THE HOLES IN THE CIRCUIT BOARD WHERE YOU NEED TO INSTALL THE REPLACEMENTS PARTS.
AFTER YOU HAVE REMOVED THE OLD PARTS AND REMOVED THE EXCESS SOLDER PLACE A DAB OF SOLDER FLUX ON THE AREA WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO SOLDER THE PART ONTO IF YOU CAN SEE THE HOLES AND YOU CAN SLIDE THE REPLACEMENT PART INTO THE HOLES PLACE THE FLUX ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD AND THE REPLACEMENT PART TAKE YOUR PIECE OF SOLDER AND PLACE IT WHERE YOU NEED TO SOLDER THE PART AND TAKE THE HOT IRON AND TOUCH IT TO THE FLUX AND THE SOLDER AT THE SAME TIME THE SOLDER AND FLUX SHOULD FLOW TOGETHER AS SOON AS THAT HAPPENS REMOVE THE HOT IRON.
IF YOU DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING THESE STEPS FOR THE 1ST TIME ON YOUR CIRCUIT BOARD FIND SOMETHING AROUND YOUR HOME THAT YOU CAN PRACTICE ON.
