Description
In the 1984 movie "Red Dawn", a fictional Russian attack on the United States was opposed by a group of teenage resistance fighters called the "Wolverines". The camouflage made for the Russian soldiers in the movie was based on the few available grainy photographs of Soviet KLMK "computer pattern". In reality, "Red Dawn" camouflage was far more detailed and interesting, and any surviving pieces of that pattern have become collectible in their own right. This Vintage 1980s RUSSIAN "RED DAWN" CAMO MATERIAL PIECE is in near mint condition, with some uneven cutting around the raw, unfinished edges, a small tear in the top and bottom left edge, and with some light scattered age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the piece is in near mint shape, with no other damage to the crisp 100% cotton construction. Most interestingly, it measures about 17" x 12.5" in a banner shape, retains nearly 100% of the striking "Red Dawn" camouflage colors, and is a beautiful example of a rare, originalVintage 1980s RUSSIAN "RED DAWN" CAMO MATERIAL PIECE
. We have shown a photo of Charlie Sheen in the movie "Red Dawn" wearing very similar camouflage.
