Maha Mantra means “great mantra” in Sanskrit, the ancient language of Hinduism. The prayer is composed of the divine names Krishna and Rama, as well as “Hare,” which means Krishna’s divine energy and many interpret as “Radha,” Krishna’s eternal consort who represents eternal devotion. The mantra is a request to be engaged in service to God and has the power to remove all impurities from the one who recites it with complete devotion.
